To earn a Private Hot Air Balloon Pilot Certificate, you must:

• Be at least 16 years old

• Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English

• Complete a minimum of 10 hours of flight instruction

• Demonstrate proficiency through required training and evaluation

COMMERCIAL PILOT REQUIREMENTS   (Ref. 14 CFR Part 61, Subpart F)

To earn a Commercial Hot Air Balloon Pilot Certificate, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old

• Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English

• Complete: At least 10 flights with an instructor,  A minimum of 10 hours of flight instruction,  35 total flight hours  Commercial certification prepares pilots to fly for compensation and professional operations.
